O Level By NIELIT (DOEACC) 

DOEACC ‘O’ Level (Foundation course in Computer Application)

DOEACC ‘O’ Level Course is a foundation Course of DOEACC Society in the field of Information Technology. The duration of the course is 1 Year (2 semesters of 6 months each). The next level IT course of DOEACC Society is DOEACC ‘A’Level which is equivalent to advance diploma course in Computer Application.The course starts in the month of January and July every year. Admission notice is published in the local daily newspaper of Nagaland about 1 month prior to commencement.

Academic Curriculum of DOEACC ‘O’ LEVEL

O Level Objective:

The Objective of the course is to prepare candidates for the DOEACC examination by imparting the required knowledge and skill.

O Level Registration:

Registration is a pre-requisite for appearing in ‘O’ Level examinations. A candidate can register at only one Level at a time to appear for the examination. Registration is only for candidates and not for institutes. Candidate has to register with NIELIT through the online portal.

O Level Admission Eligibility :

Students from Institutes conducting accredited courses:

• 10+2 or ITI Certificate (One Year) after class 10 followed in each case, by an accredited ‘O’ Level course.
  Or
• Successful completion of the second year of a Government recognized polytechnic engineering diploma course after class 10, followed by an accredited ‘O’ Level course concurrently during the third year of the said polytechnic engineering diploma course. The certificate of ‘O’ level will be awarded only after successful completion of the polytechnic engineering diploma

O level Direct Applicants

• 10+2 or ITI Certificate (One Year) after class 10, followed in each case, by one-year relevant experience. Relevant experience connotes job experience in IT, including teaching in a recognized institution as a faculty member, excludes coaching.
  Or
• A pass in the NCVT-DP&CS (data Preparation & Computer Software) Examination, conducted by DGE&T(Govt. of India)

For getting registered, a candidate fulfilling the eligibility criteria should apply online in the NIELIT portal. The registration fee is also to be paid online. Registration fee once paid is not reimbursable or adjustable against any other payment.

The registration application can be submitted online throughout the year, however, cut off dates are specified for submitting Registration applications for each examination for the convenience of processing and allotting Registration Numbers.

New O Level Syllabus :

O Level Project Work :

Projects in the DOEACC Scheme are an integral part of the curriculum to qualify for a certificate. There is one project after the completion of 2nd semester.No marks are assigned for this, but Candidates are required to carry out the project successfully. The head of the Institute will submit a project completion certificate in the prescribed format for issuing pass certificate to DOEACC Society for the students who have cleared all the papers and complete the project work.

O Level Examination :

>>O Level Theory Examinations:

DOEACC “O” -level theory examination is conducted twice in a year (in the month of January and July) by DOEACC SOCIETY, New Delhi. There is a number of examination centers all over India. The list of exam centers will be available while collecting exam form. Student can choose one of the exam center according to their convenience.

Full mark of each paper is 100 and exam duration is 3 hrs. Examination fee for each theory paper is Rs. 500/- and cost of exam form is Rs. 100/-.

>>O Level Practical Examinations:

The is one practical paper for DOEACC “O” Level Course. Appeared or appearing all the theory papers is the necessary condition for the practical examination. Practical Examination is conducted at the Institute under the supervision of DOEACC Society, New Delhi. Students need to provide the option for appearing in practical examination while filling up exam form with payment of additional practical examination fee of Rs.300/- . Duration of each practical examination is3 hrs. Important dates regarding the examination are as follows:

Result of O Level Examination :

Result of DOEACC ‘O’ Level examination is published in the DOEACC website http://student.nielit.in/ normally after 2 months of completion of the exam. Students can check their result from this website and download. Students can also ask for result of the examination to the Institute. Results will be sent to the candidates from DOEACC Society individually. The result will be provided in the form of Grade. The mark scored in practical paper is not counted for calculating overall grade of the exam but, clearing practical paper is the necessary criteria for awarding the certificate.
